This 465-hectare (1.150-acre) residential complex is close to the village of Belas and to Queluz, with its royal palace. In bygone days, this area was popular
with the nobility and the royal family as an ideal place to come and spend the summer.
Belas is near the World Heritage town of Sintra and only about ten minutes drive away from Portugal's cosmopolitan capital, Lisbon. Belas Clube de Campo is also
within easy reach of the main roads to Lisbon International Airport, to the north of the country and to the south via the bridges over the River Tagus.
This is a championship standard, par-72 golf course of 6,380 metres. It is one of the masterpieces of the renowned golf course
designer William "Rocky" Roquemore. The impeccably maintained greens, tees and fairways were seeded with Penneagle and Pennlinks grass, and are set well into the valleys for protection against the wind.
The course meanders amongst the hillsides, affording splendid views of the Sintra hills. It is divided into two well-defined parts, a low-density residential area and an untouched natural environment.
The signature holes, noted for both their beauty and their difficulty, are the 2nd, dubbed "Augusta" after the 13th at the famous course in Georgia, and the 18th, aptly named "The Grand Hole".
The elegant, modern Belas clubhouse is decorated in shades of terra cotta, blue and yellow. Through the bay window of the restaurant, there is a magnificent view over rolling green hills, with
the Pena Palace on the horizon.
Belas Golf Club provides a wide variety of personalised services. Both residents and visitors can enjoy relaxing here in a low-key, informal atmosphere.
Belas Clube de Campo has a wide range of leisure activities for both golfers and non-golfers.
